Crypto asset manager and ETF provider Bitwise has made its first allocation into decentralized finance (DeFi) through a partnership with on-chain credit specialist Maple Finance.

The move marks LBTC’s first integration with a non-EVM blockchain, bringing bitcoin as a collateral in DeFi to a broader ecosystem.

Hackers made off with approximately $50 million when the automated market maker was exploited in 2021.
